Q. Is your equipment safe and do you have insurance?
A. All my electrical equipment is PAT tested and I have public liability insurance to the value of £2 million. This is not only for your peace of mind but is also a requirement by the majority of venues.
Q. Do you play a variety of music?
A. I have a wide range of music available for all functions with something for everyone from the 1950’s to the present day and I will play to the crowd to ensure that the dance floor is never empty. I constantly update my music collection always ensuring I have the latest for all age groups and I will tailor the music to suit your requirements by talking to you about the type of music you would like before your event. If you would like to put together a playlist of songs I am happy to play tracks from your playlist, together with tracks that will work with the music you have selected, whilst also taking requests from your guests on the evening.
Q. Are you reliable?
A. Yes, I pride myself on 100% reliability and customer satisfaction. Your booking will be confirmed in writing to ensure all the details are correct and I will provide you with my full contact details (address, landline & mobile number). If required, before your function we can meet up to talk about any special music requirements and any other necessary details. I like to arrive at the venue around 90 minutes before the start time so that I have plenty of time to set up. Should an extreme case occur where I cannot attend your function because of matters beyond my control, I will source you another disco of the same high standard and supply them with all the information collected from you. To date this has NEVER happened but it’s a safeguard I have in place.
Q. Can I come and see you work?
A. Yes. You are more than welcome to meet me before your function to go through any special music requirements, discuss timings etc. You are also welcome to come and see me perform at a function. Just ask and will give you a few dates/venues where you can come along and see me.
Q. How will you dress?
A. I will usually turn up to your function wearing casual clothing with the company logo on to set up the equipment. Once I have set-up I will change into appropriate clothing for the occasion (e.g. Suit for a wedding, smart casual for a childrens party). I always make sure that I am presentable for your function.
Q. I’ve booked a singer/band, can you work with them?
A. I have no problem working with any type of act that is booked to appear on the same event as me. I have worked with many bands in the past and have had no problems at all, in fact I am more than happy to introduce them onto the stage and bring them off at the end of their spot. I also ensure that I do not play any songs that the band plans to perform that night.
Q. Will I be able to find a cheaper disco?
A. I understand that there are other discos that will quote you a lower price. All my prices represent very good value for money. Does the other disco carry public liability insurance? Does the other disco have pat tested equipment? Does the disco set-up consist of true high quality sound and lighting? Does the disco have a good reliability & experience record? Will the Dj talk on the microphone to liven up the crowd and create a good atmosphere? Will the Dj come and visit you before your event if required? When looking to book a mobile disco for your party, do not make your decision based on price. There are lots of DJs on the Web and in Yellow Pages who will quote a low price, which may appear a bargain at the time, but they may be unreliable, turn up late or not at all.
