Methods of introducing one or two fluorine atoms selectively into a molecule have attracted much research effort, and over the last two decades at F2 Chemicals Ltd we have helped pioneer the use of elemental fluorine as a fluorinating agent in organic synthesis. By careful selection of reaction conditions our methodology can be used to prepare a wide variety of fluorine-containing substances (aliphatic, aromatic and the formation of sulfur pentafluoride aromatic derivatives).
